ColorOS, the operating system developed by OPPO, has achieved an incredible milestone, surpassing 600 million active users around the globe. This accomplishment coincides with the 10th anniversary of ColorOS, which was first introduced in 2013.
Aside from the increasing number of users, OPPO also revealed that the beta program ColorOS 14 got a massive 230,000 signups. The first devices to receive the new software include OPPO Find N2, OnePlus 11, OPPO Reno9 Pro 5G, OPPO Find X6/Pro, and OPPO Find N2 Flip. This showcases OPPO’s new commitment to providing continuous software updates across its lineup, regardless if it’s flagship or not.
ColorOS has played a crucial role in OPPO’s success in the high-end smartphone market. The smartphone giant managed to get a remarkable 453% year-on-year growth in foldable market share for 2022, with the OPPO Find N, Find N2, and Find N2 Flip leading the way. In 2023, OPPO currently has a 31.4% market share from Q1 to Q3.
OPPO is also set to unveil its AndesGPT AI model in conjunction with the release of ColorOS 14. The AndesGPT AI model, which has over 100 billion parameters, is expected to level up the user experience of OPPO devices.
The official launch of ColorOS 14 is scheduled tomorrow, in the much anticipated OPPO Developer Conference happening at the Shanghai Expo Center.
